The park, noted for its azalea flowers contains Japanese gardens and winding paths for the visitor to enjoy the changing aspect of nature from season to season.  From May 3rd to the 5th, Azalea Festival takes place in the park

The park zoo is a favorite spot for children who visit the park.   Lesser pandas, Japanese cranes, squirrel monkeys and other rare animals entertains visitors. Lesser pandas were sent from Beijing, China as token of friendship between two cities.

t is located near the Arisada Bridge. The lawn-covered area along the river is a playground for the citizens. There are playing tools, a croquet course and a cycling road which extend to Imajo City. During the Azalea Festival in May, there are fire works, and the fire works display in the river is a particularly famous attraction.

There are four indoor tennis courts in the facility. It is rare to have indoor courts in which you can play even on a rainy day. After working out a sweat, there is a public bath with water warmed up by the heat remaining in the incinerator.

In French, "La Pause" means " a rest" or "peace of mind".   You can relax and enjoy various activities.  It is located in Kamikouchi cho which is 10 km east from Sabae exit of Hokuriku Highway.
